Priestly Class of ’97 has Mini-Reunion During Oblate Spring Assembly

The Class of ’97

At the Oblate Spring Assembly, which took place in San Antonio, there was a reunion of the US Oblate Priestly Ordination Class of ’97.  Fr. Dwight Hoeberechts OMI, who is pastoring at Minneapolis-St Paul, MN Area, Fr. Timothy Paulsen OMI, who is pastoring in the Houston, TX Area, and yours truly (Fr. Andrew Sensenig OMI) and my ministry is small rural churches and missions located south of Corpus Christi, TX.

We are dedicated to serving the poor from the big cities and to places so small you will need a map and a compass to find them, nevertheless, we have maintained contact and friendship among ourselves since 1997, even though we have not been assigned together except for once, when Fr. Dwight and I were in Lowell for two years.

It was a grace to be together again to experience each other’s company for which we are grateful to the US Oblate Leadership for putting on the Oblates Spring Assembly.
