“Lucky 13” Oblates Celebrate Jubilees in Belleville
Belleville, IL
Thirteen was a lucky number on November 13, 2023 as friends, family and Oblates gathered at the Church of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL for a Jubilee celebration.
The large and diverse crowd included: friends, family, employees, Oblate Associates, HOMIs (Honorary Oblates of Mary Immaculate), Novices from the Oblate Novitiate in Alton along with their formators, and brother Oblates from around Belleville and the rest of the country. Also on-hand were the new U.S. Provincial, Fr. Raymond Cook, and New Council members Fr. Emmanuel Mulenga and Fr. Sal Gonzalez (also a Jubilarian). The presider and homilist were comprised of two more Jubilarians: former Superior General, Fr. Louis Lougen, and Fr. Mark Dean, respectively.
After Mass all were invited to share a celebratory dinner at the new King’s House Retreat Center at the Shrine.
