The Oblates of Mary Immaculate are pleased to announce that the Superior General in Council has appointed Fr. Charles Haddon RENSBURG as the new Treasurer General. This appointment will be effective on October 27, 2023.
This appointment reflects our commitment to responsible stewardship, financial transparency, and good governance in fulfilling our mission. Fr. Charles Rensburg, from South Africa born in Zimbabwe, brings a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of our Congregation’s values and mission to his new role. With a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, he possesses expertise in financial planning and analysis.
Having devoted 23 years of faithful service as an Oblate of Mary Immaculate, Charles has undertaken various ministries, including significant contributions in financial administration. His commitment to our spiritual and financial well-being is undeniable. Since 2015, Charles has been a member of the OIP board and served as the Provincial Treasurer for the OMI Southern Africa Province since 2018.
As Treasurer General, Charles will oversee the financial interests of the Congregation, including budgeting, investments, and resource allocation. His leadership will ensure the optimal utilization of resources to advance our mission while aligning financial planning with the evolving needs of the Congregation.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Fr. Marc DESSUREAULT, our former General Treasurer since 2010, for his outstanding leadership and dedication. May God bless him in all his future endeavors.
