EDITOR’S NOTE: Fr. Séamus Finn, OMI, Director Oblate JPIC/FCI referred us to this article with the following explanation:

Fr. Séamus Finn, OMI

A very good review of the ESG debate which has now been introduced into many political debates and is frequently referenced in legislation that is proposed at all levels in the US

Many of our colleagues in the Faith Consistent Investing community are mentioned and quoted throughout the article. It’s clear that this debate is now much more fully engaged than it was a few years ago, which is a good thing.

It helps to give more definition to the terms that are being used and, an urges those in the field to develop better metrics and algorithms, whereby the reports and responses of companies can be more accurately measured and assessed.

The OIP has been an active supporter and participant in many of the engagements with different companies that are in our portfolio.
