This evening retreat will offer spiritual reflections on Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si” and from the writings of St. Bonaventure and their implications for the spiritual life.

We will gather at Oblate Renewal Center on two nights, July 24 and 25, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the San José Room.

Space is limited to 40 participants, so register early.

Retreat Hosts

Justin Combs is in his 3rd year of the PhD in Spirituality program here at OST. He holds a master degree in theological studies from Franciscan School of Theology, and has nearly ten years of experience in pastoral ministry.

Anthony (Tony) Deosdade is a native of San Antonio. He is the director of the ACTS Spiritual Companion Program and is Program Coordinator for the Oblate Renewal Center at Oblate School of Theology. Tony is a certified spiritual director and an adjunct instructor of religious studies at the University of the Incarnate Word. He is a former Hospice Chaplain, a former parish pastoral minister in youth, young adult and adult ministries for the Archdiocese of San Antonio and is a former practicing attorney. His educational background includes a Masters Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Aquinas Institute of Theology; a Masters of Arts in Religious Studies from University of the Incarnate Word, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Registration Fee: $45.00

Fee includes dinners and retreat sessions for both evenings.
