About this event
In this retreat we will take an honest look at what we suffer, what helps us get through our suffering, what we can learn from it, where God is in it, and how we can find new life. Modern media makes us aware of the suffering around the world, and we are more acutely aware of what we suffer personally. Suffering, pain and anxiety are part of the human condition. Yet, as followers in the risen Christ, we believe that suffering is not the end of the story. Sooner or later, we are invited by God to face it squarely. We are Easter people who believe that every Good Friday will have its Easter. Slowly we see that in suffering of all kinds there is hope and a new life to be found.
