Rev. Dr. Gushee will share his religious pilgrimage — what drew him out of Catholicism toward evangelicalism in the 1970s, his journey as an evangelical, and now his exit from evangelicalism into leadership of a growing post-evangelical religious community, along with a significant personal reconnection to Catholicism. Through this story, Dr. Gushee will describe lessons of his evangelical sojourn for US Catholicism today.
