This series helps participants get a working knowledge of recovery through various vital topics. It will explore some basic tenets of the literature from Alcoholics Anonymous, AL-Anon, and Adult Children of Alcoholics and the twelve steps by connecting them with the Christian life. We will emphasize how recovery from different types of addiction and its impact on the human family opens avenues for Christian growth and promotes religious insights.
This series is designed for members of anonymous programs, spiritual directors, health care professionals, and anyone willing to understand and explore spiritual maturation based on practical tools for growth.
Topics covered in this class: conversion and spiritual awakening, inner child movement, the child in the bible, healing from traumatic bonds, emotional sobriety, how to transform difficult emotions, surrender, gratitude in action and forgiveness.
Class Dates
All classes will take place on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Central Time, ONLINE via Zoom.
Portions of each class session will be recorded and made available to registered participants through June 1, 2022. Please note that periods of participants’ sharing in small and large group settings will not be recorded. In general, the teaching portions of each class session will be recorded.

Facilitator
Fr. Daniel Renaud, OMI is a priest, religious and itinerant preacher with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate of the US province. Fr. Renaud ministers from the campus of the Oblate School of Theology (OST) in San Antonio, Texas. Fr. Renaud has degrees and training in drama education (McGill University, Montreal), theology (Saint Paul University, Ottawa), pastoral ministry (Boston College), and psychodrama. He is a Certified Spiritual Director from Creighton University and a Spiritual Directors International member, and in current training for certification in dream work with The Haden Institute in North Carolina. Fr. Renaud has preached retreats to priests, deacons, religious and laypeople in Canada, the US, and Asia on various topics such as desire and spiritual intimacy, 12 steps recovery, Ignatian spirituality & Jungian psychology, a spirituality of priesthood, and ecological conversion. Fr. Renaud is adjunct faculty at OST, and a regular blog contributor. Fr. Renaud is host of the upcoming TV show Becoming Fully Human on Catholic Television San Antonio.
