Fr. General Continues Recovery in Tewksbury

General Administration - Rome

(Editor’s Note: Below are portions of a health update on Most Rev. Louis Lougen, OMI, Oblate Superior General, who recently underwent surgery in Tewksbury, MA. This email came from Rome and was written by Oblate Vicar-general, Fr. Paolo Archiati, OMI.)

Most Rev. Louis Lougen, OMI

Fr. Paolo Archiati, OMI

I just spoke with our Superior General and have news about his health. Things seem to be going well, as he left the hospital after just four days. He was released on the afternoon of Good Friday and is now back at the Oblate residence in Tewksbury. He is scheduled to go back to the hospital for a check-up on Wednesday April 7.

He sends his greetings to everyone and is very thankful for our support and for our prayers. If everything continues to go well, he may be able to travel back to Rome in about a month, depending on his continued recovery and check-ups in the coming weeks.

We wish him Happy Easter and a joyful Easter season! We keep him in our prayers and we hope to have him back here in Rome before the feast day of Saint Eugene! All the best, Louis, and get well soon!

Paolo Archiati, omi

Vicar General
