Oblate Associate Honored for Service in Chula Vista

For nearly 20 years, Flor Lacson and her husband, Bill have been active members of the Oblate Associate group at Most Precious Blood Parish in Chula Vista, California. Flor’s profession is a Clinical nurse, only working open-heart surgery cases at the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center where she has worked for 51 years. Recently, Flor was honored by her peers with the Spirit of Caring Award for her service. We thank the Chula Vista Oblate Associate Coordinator, Hermie Alignay for sending this five-minute video of the ceremony taken by Flor’s daughter, Kim.

Congratulations to Flor on this award and how she lives the charism of St. Eugene by supporting the dignity of each person, encouraging collaboration and living the hope of God’s love.
