Fr. Saturnino Lajo, OMI

At eighty years of age, Fr. Saturnino Lajo, OMI welcomes pilgrims and visitor to the Tepeyac Shrine and Lourdes grotto in san Antonio.  In the video Fr. Lajo reflects on his 50 years of priesthood, “In all of my years of priesthood, I have never had to tell someone to stay at a distance.” in 1979 the Grotto had Mass only in English and for the last 40 years FR. Lajo has ministered to the Spanish speaking community and does not plan to retire anytime soon. “This is my vocation, this is my life, I have served this community for the last forty years and the middle of a pandemic is that the time to throw in the towel.”
