Oblates Offer Drive-by Blessings to Mothers at Belleville Shrine

Several Missionary Oblate priests braved the chilly temperatures Sunday to deliver special blessings to area mothers in a “drive-by” Mother’s Day Blessing at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville.

Shrine Director, Fr. David Uribe, along with Oblate Fathers Raul Salas, Elvis Mwamba, Juan Gaspar and Sal Gonzalez were all decked out in medical face masks to give the blessings to mothers in over 100 cars from a safe distance from 10 to noon on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020.

In the two-minute video below, you can see Fathers Elvis Mwamba and Raul Salas blessing and chatting with the delighted occupants of a continuous line of cars driving through the Shrine,  taking advantage of the lovely weather to enjoy the natural beauty of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.
