New Edition of Oblate Missiologists for Extraordinary Mission Month

General Administration - Rome

By Fr. Harry Winter, OMI

Fr. Bob Wright, OMI

A new edition of Oblate Missiologists has been prepared for the October Extraordinary Mission Month requested by Pope Francis:  Oblate Missiologists: A Workbook 2019. Seventeen authors from our five regions, have contributed, and the editor, Harry Winter, OMI, has added appendices on our six and one half Oblate cardinals, and on Oblate ministry in the Arctic.

Fr. Bill Reinhard, OMI

For the first time, our new General Administration Mission Committee, and the Mission Committees of the five regions, are at least sketched. May we hope that Oblates in each region will now offer insights on their New Evangelization activities to their regional Mission Committee?

Seventeen Oblates have been featured in the updated version of Oblate Missiologists, A Workbook, 2019. This book has been prepared for the October Extraordinary Mission Month (EMM) requested by Pope Francis. U.S. Oblates featured include: Fathers  Paul Hughes, Bill Reinhard, Bishop Arsene Turquetil, and Bob Wright.

Bishop Arsene Turquetil,

The total book of 119 pages may be accessed by Clicking here, or through www.omiworld.org, or the website Mission-Unity-Dialogue www.harrywinter.org.

Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI, has described Oblate Missionary work as the best kept secret in the missionary world. During this October EMM, may we open the secret at least for ourselves? Read Oblate Missiologists: A Workbook 2019 to begin.
