St. Patrick Hmong Celebrate New Year.

As 2018 came to a close, the Hmong Catholic Community along with their Parishioners at St. Patrick Church in St. Paul Minnesota gathered with their Pastor Fr. Mike Powell, OMI for a Hmong New Year celebration on 12/30/2018.
The celebration began with Holy Mass and at its conclusion, Fr. Mike blessed rice and eggs placed in front of the Altar to signify an offering for the harvest of the year. After Mass, the Community enjoyed a meal together with a multitude of activities. There was entertainment including Hmong traditional dance, a Hmong fashion show, singing of folk songs, music and a skit.
The Community took delight in the traditional celebration, their time together and visiting with their relatives and friends. Happy New Year 2019.
