Video: Oblates Serving Migrants in Tijuana

Fr. Jesse Esqueda, Superior of the Baja Mission sent in this short video showing a few of the caravan migrants” the mission has taken in to help with the humanitarian crisis going on at the U.S. – Mexico Border. It’s a brief snapshot of who makes up the bilk of the refugees: mothers with babies and small children, and young men fleeing crime, government corruption and gang violence in their home countries.

Fr Jesse and the other Oblates, Fathers Lucio Castillo, Webert Merilan, Marek Stroba, William Antone, and Bro. Peter Vasquez are doing all they can with limited resources to help relieve the suffering of twenty or so refugees among the thousands that have descended upon Tijuana.
