Lowell Shrine Initiates St. Joseph the Worker Award

At the 4:00 p.m. Mass at the St. Joseph the Worker Shrine in Lowell, MA on Saturday, September 10^th, Fr. Terry O’Connell, OMI presented the first St. Joseph the Worker Award to Karen Gallagher and Paul Demers.

The Shrine has inaugurated this Award as part of our 60^th Anniversary celebrations and our aim is to make this recognition an annual salute to area Christians for outstanding service to their neighbors. Awardees are folks in the greater-Lowell area who have demonstrated the Christian values of faith, humility and outreach to the marginalized in their personal lives as well as integrity, respect and service in the workplace.
