The Oblate Associates of Mary Immaculate at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church in Miramar, Florida welcomed Father Michael Powell OMI to our meeting on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the St. Eugene De Mazenod Life Teen Center. Father Michael served as Associate Pastor at St. Stephen along with Father Alejandro Roque OMI, Pastor, about 10 years ago.

The Associates conducted reflection before our annual renewal ceremony. Then, Father Michael witnessed and signed our commitment documents as Associates of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate for an additional year.
Following the ceremony, a pot-luck dinner was enjoyed by Father Michael, the Associates and guests.
Father Michael celebrated Saturday Vigil and Sunday Holy Mass at St. Stephen and was warmly welcomed by our parishioners. Oblate Associates served with Father Michael as Extraordinary Ministers at the masses.
In a related note, Fr. Powell has been appointed the new pastor of the parishes of St. Patrick’s and St. Casimir in St. Paul, MN, succeeding temporary pastor, Fr. Greg Gallagher, OMI.
