Photo Story: “1st Hmong Oblate Associate Sees God child Baptized in St. Paul”

Fr. Greg Gallagher, OMI,  Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, St. Paul, MN baptizes during Holy Saturday Mass, a young Hmong girl, with godparents Kou and Joua Ly.  Kou is the first Hmong Oblate Associate and is in process of organizing a Hmong Associate group  in the St. Paul area.  The servers to the right of Fr. Greg are Jade and Jasmine Minor, from an African-American family of St. Patrick’s.

Fr. Greg thus continues the work begun in St. Paul by Fr. Daniel Taillez, OMI, when Oblates administered St. Mary’s Church.
