Miramar Oblate Associates Participate in Ministry Fair

Reported by John Venezia, OAMI Co-coordinator, St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church in Miramar, Florida

Oblate Associates offered an array of materials during St. Stephen's Ministry Fair

On Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2015, St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church in Miramar, Florida held their annual Ministry Fair. Along with the Associates of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, over 30 ministries at St. Stephen participated in the Fair. Our goal as Associates was to educate our parishioners on the missionary work of the Oblates, Oblate vocations, and to introduce the Oblate Associates who are called to bring Good News of God’s love to those most abandoned.

Oblate literature was provided to us by Geri Furmanek, our National Director, and distributed to our parishioners along with St. Eugene de Mazenod key chain calendars. Holy Mass at 11:00 AM (English) and 12:45 PM (Spanish) were celebrated with a procession of ministry banners. The Oblate Associates were blessed to be able to share the charism of St. Eugene de Mazenod with our parishioners.

Kathryn Kalpoo also took a turn representing the Oblate Associates
