The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate serve poor and abandoned people in the United States and 70 countries around the world.

2013 San Antonio Jubilee

Some 500 Family and friends  gathered with Oblates from around the country at the Chapel at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio to celebrate the Jubilees of 22 Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.  Altogether, the men who were honored on April 9, 2013 have served the Church for over 1,000 years. Fr. Armand Mathew was the Principal Celebrant, and Fr. Art Flores was the homilest.

Celebrating the Anniversary of Ordination were:

70 years: George Protopapas, OMI

60 years: Pasquale Lanese, OMI, Agustin Petru, OMI, and Hugo Van den Bussche, OMI

50 years: Saturnino Lajo, OMI

25 years: Victor Santoyo, OMI

Celebrating the Anniversary of First profession were:

70 years; Armand Mathew, OMI

65 years: Charles Sellars, OMI, Hugo Van den Bussche, OMI

60 years: Clarence Menard, OMI, Francis Pfeifer, OMI, Cornelius Scanlan, OMI and Harry Schuckenbrock, OMI

50 years: Dale Schlitt, OMI

40 years: Robert Hickl, OMI

25 years: Frederick Emanuelson, OMI, Arthur Flores, OMI, Gregory Gallagher, OMI, Richard Hall, OMI, Nicholas Harding, OMI, Thomas Horan, OMI, and Joseph LaBelle, OMI

After the celebration of the Eucharist, a reception was held at the Whitley Center.
