Video: La Vista Community Supported Garden

The Oblate Ecological Initiative is weeding out bad habits, and planting ones that fit the charism of the Oblates.  In Godfrey, IL is La Vista Community Supported Garden.  From eggplant to basil, a variety of organic vegetables line six acres of cultivated land.  In this video, Sr. Maxine Pohlman walks through the garden to show what shareholders expect to get on a seasonal basis.  However, the garden isn’t the only attraction at the Novitiate.  A variety of classes from cooking naturally outdoors to learning how to build with cob are offered to anyone.
